In collaboration with Trust for Public Land’s Editorial Director, I helped lead the production of this animated explainer designed to engage donors and partners. Because the full lifecycle of a community schoolyard project unfolds over many years, traditional video interviews and b-roll were not well suited to capture the scale and long-term impact of the work. To overcome these limitations, we brought in LAI Video to develop an animated approach that could tell the complete story clearly and effectively.
My role focused on the operational and visual strategy: I helped oversee the vendor search, executed the necessary contracts, and provided creative direction on animation style, visual references, and brand alignment. The final deliverables included a primary explainer video and a set of looping GIFs adapted for social media and broader distribution.
