In 2019, IHG Hotels & Resorts kicked off its relationship with the US Open becoming the Official Hotel Partner of the US Open Tennis Championships. In celebration, IHG hosted the “IHG Experience” on the grounds of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, NY. All US Open attendees were treated to a complimentary wellness and spa themed activation featuring infused waters, temple massages, and cooling towels.
I traveled to the tournament to take photographs and capture video at the event for IHG. The photography highlighted here was used in press releases to bring media attention to our activation as well as to share on internal employee communication channels. I also captured photos of the headline food items found at the tournament. These images were used across IHG owned social channels to bring our followers a “Taste of the US Open.” GIFs and Boomerang style video content I captured were leveraged on social media to show the activities happening at the IHG Experience throughout the day.
